I have post on here before my Wife and I are about to purchase a CTDMega caband i was wondering ??? I have heard people here in town with their CTD and the whistle of their turbo sound way louder then stock in fact it sound like a damn jet starting up. What does this take and how much??I love the twine and whine of the turbo. Thanks for all the help and looking forward to putting my new CTD on here Along with my 3rd Gen Ram ( my baby)

If you leave the stock air intake on the turbo won't be bad. There are baffles in there to lessen the whistle. If you modifiy the intake with the after market tubes you can get the whistle. Most guys like to hear the tubo wind up.
Search for Silencer Ring Removal. Free little mod, doesn't give you any power just some more noise. Also, if you have the stock air box that will quiet the sound. Do another search for Big Honkin Air Filter.
(I'd search and post for you but for some reason my connection is horrible)
Both will make thing sing a little more.

Thats what i want to go for is a louder whistle for the turbo so this has to do with the intake?..they dont replace the turbo or do a straight pipe with the exhuast??

all I did was gut my intake tubeing, remove the silencer ring, and put in a NAPA 2790 air filter. . .she sounds like a jet going to full throttle now

none that I could tell. but then again I'm running a TST smarty stack
if anything I would say there would be a minimal loss in low end torque, but also a minimal gain in upper end HP.

here is a vid of my truck on the dyno making 425. you can hear the turbo spooling up but soon the tire noise drowns it out.

i just put in a S&B intake and im 100% happy with the wistle, i hate to say the ford word but now the my turbo sounds better than a ford's i did notice a drop in low end power, and with open exhaust i noticed a drop in low end also. but for the sound and lower EGT's, its worth it IMO. i will be getting a smarty soon so the missing power should be a thing of the past but if you are getting a diesel you will soon realize a loss in power in either high or low end can always be repaired with chips /modules/ or programmers.
