I just sent a message to bert0168 to see if he still had the pics. He hasn't been very active on this forum lately so I did it through dodge owner forums . com and he should get it.

OK click on the DIY link at the bottom of my profile and it should have the pictures in it.

I also have all the pictures in the album section if you need them.

I don't come here often but I will check back over the next couple of days. PM me if you need any help and I'll get you my e-mail.

Nothing at night. If I get time and the rain stops, I'll try to post pics

So yesterday I spent most of the day running wires and making things look nice and I go to fish the zip tie through the mirror and 2 hours later I still hadn't got it done. Is there a trick or does anyone know if you can take the mirrors apart? I should have pics by next weekend

I used a huge zip tie like the HVAC guys use to secure flex duct. I think I started at the hole on the bottom and fished to the small hole where the swivel switch goes. I had to make a hook from stiff wire to pull the end up into the hole brfore you can push it up through.

Send the pointed end thru first. I don't think I got it the first time but if I remember right, it wasn't that hard to do

Remember it makes two 90 bends so keep trying. Its not gonna just pop out the other end. You are going to have to look into the hole and pull the leading edge of the fish up to get it out

I've got one side done (finally) but on the other side it didn't have the same setup. My buddy said it looked like a mercury switch?? rather than the rotating collar. Is it even possible to take the mirrors apart?

I don't know about the switch. Mine are both the same. My mirrors were not original to the truck but they are OEM Dodge mirrors.

I looked at taking the pivot arm apart but couldn't figure it out w/out potentially destroying the mirror. That's how I figured out the cable tie fish
