Default What is done to your Cummins Turbo Diesel

I have looked all over this page As far back as I can go. And have seen nothing on this subject even though its posted when you join
I have a 2004 3500 4x4 5.9 common rail auto trans rear windows tinted, rear window has a American flag with eagle decal, Rain gaurds, side steps
22k 5th wheel hitch (DON'T USE)
work I have done is Upgraded my turbo for a bigger size.
trans has a Stall and a shift kit.
I didnt upgrade my fuel pump or injectors I was told by a diesel tweeker
that its pointless and isn't worth the money to waist I'm not drag racing it and or the for the money that you spend on that you get 1mpg better so i didn't do that.
I have a intake system on my truck with a K&N filter
I have the triple dog from bully dog witch that sucks I want the PMT
so i can watch my egt I don't have gauges other then stock but i worry about the egt getting to high so i don't beat on it to much.
I have had my share of races though dodge neon with a fart muffler beat it
Camero ls6 and Benz with the 850hp motor LOST got them off the line though both are friends of mine
a 2500 CTD 5.9 with a bully dog, stacks beat the crap out of him. I told him i was stock lol
he said BS I told him its the bully dog stickers on the side of your truck get rid of them less wind resistance lmao
I am going to take my truck to the track and see what it will run on the clock I want to atleast be 13s but i think that i am dreaming possibly even a wet and wild at that.
but with all the little add ons and tweeks here and their on paper
555hp and i forgot the torque 720 or so I'll have to look in my papers
no dyno yet It would be nice but they was telling me that it wont fit cause of the back tires are too wide. Its a lot wider then Camero's and mustangs and imports SHE GOT A FAT BUTT lol
well thats all i can think of hope you guys and gals list your poweradders

thanks PIZZO

I bought my '95 3500 SLT 4WD in '98. It had a Warn 12,000# winch and brush style front bumper installed. The former owner installed a Rancho suspension. I installed a Gale Banks Powerpack in 2000. This is a great perfomance add-on. Gale Banks knows his poop when it comes to diesel engines. My stock Cummins B175 was pretty wimpy. The banks kit nearly doubles HP and torque, gives you EGT and boost guages for safety, and offers a moderate fuel mileage improvement. It costs about 2k and 8-10 hours installation time. Clear, easily followed instructions are included.

I'd like to put some bigger wheels and tires on it. Stock sized front tires wear out in about 12k miles. I fear the stock brakes would be inadequate with larger wheels. If you can reccomend a brake improvement for this old gal, I would appreciate the advice.

Regards!

I also forgot to mention that I have 5 inch from turbo back
I don't know what you could put on there to help you stop better
I have 4 wheel disc and my truck stops fine with 18,000 lbs behind with trailer brakes that are working properly
Maybe they have a disc break set up to buy somewhere?

Coal Train A few things done to her? Your truck makes mine look stock.
lmfao But at this point are you happy with it?
I am happy with mine and its going to stay like it is maybe add some minor exterior parts but nothing else to the engine or trans.
Also what do you think about using transyn in my trans?

I absolutely love it!

As far as being happy with it, I couldn't be more so.

My ultimate goal for it is 800 HP on fuel and 1000 HP on nitrous. The engine is coming out in October and my list of "future" upgrades is happening.

As far as the transyn, as long as it's ATF+4 spec, it's fine. Just make sure it meets that.

Personally, in mine, I run the Valvoline Synthetic ATF+4. I've beat the crap out of it and it holds up fine. I've had this tranny in for about 30K and when I changed the fluid, it still looked new.

Steve, Does having the aero where the cat was make it louder? I never thought of running 2 mufflers like that.
