Pizzo,
I saw on the second generation site that there is a company called treadwright that makes tires for our trucks. The only thing is they are retreads. I have been following that discussion for a while because I needed some for a jeep we have. The offroad forums love these tires. Hope this helps. I looked at the tires for our duallys and they are 90 a piece.

I would not trust a recap seen to many cores laying on the side of road for them. I know that its due to low tire pressure and they are off SEMI's . I wouldnt stick them on our trucks for a trail rig or just around town truck o.k. but I sometimes get out on expressway and hit 80-90mph at times for miles. It wouldn't be smart for me to get recaps. with my luck i would pop one and toss the core into my boat or a customers boat. plus i haven't been here in a few days just got back from Venice FL pulled a 28 ft cruiser inc Rouge down their. MY back tires are BALD

what's the biggest tire i can get on my stock 05 CTD? It's not a dually. my brother's powerstroke has taller tires (280/75/18) i think, and make mine look like little babies.

"since i am going with the stock size of 235/80-17 "

I know I'm late on this thread but when did they put 235's on as stock tires? I thought the stock tires were 265-70-17's?
