Question AFE Stage II question

Hello all,
I just installed an AFE Stage II with the dry filter. I'm wondering about the torque tube installation. There is a high temp coupling that goes from the turbo to the torque tube. When I installed it, i butted the end of the torque tube against the turbo housing. Just wondering if I should leave a gap in there so the plastic on the tube doesn't get too hot.
So far, ive noticed immediate lower in EGT and it cools down much faster. Also I notice the turbo whine a lot more. Response gains are there but not a huge difference from stock, and I have yet to test mileage. thanks for any info.

Yes, leave a small gap between the tube and the turbo.

Doesn't need to be huge, 1/4" - 1/2" is fine.

I have been thinking about getting the AFE Stage II. Compared to all the other brands, how does AFE stand up? I know that they run a dry filter, but what are the other gains from running their set-up?

AFE has both types of filters, dry and wet. I prefer the wet AFE Pro-Guard 7.

Until I did the twins on the truck, that's what I ran. It's found a ssecond lif on another truck and is doing just fine.

The two I usually recommend is the AFE with Pro-Guard 7 filter and the S&B's.
