Default 2008 dodge ram vibration-off accerator

Has anyone experience a vibration in the 3rd Gen Ram 2500 HD when off the accelerator? I thought it was the tranny until I tried putting it in neutral while slowing down, the vibration appears at slower speeds when slowing down and stays until stopped. Does anyone have any suggestions which bearing/u-joints would be the most likely offender? The truck is perfect at all speeds as long as I am on the gas.
Any advise would be great!!!!

What model is the truck.

Is it a QC/LB or a SB/MC.

If it has the 2 piece driveshaft, that would be the first place I look.

Check out the center carrier bearing and the u-joints.

It really could be any of them the center carrier is a very good start. if its a u joint 99.9% of the time the squeak. to bad they don't have grease fittings to grease the u joints. really you will need to get under it and check everything out. put it up on jack stands on all 4 so you can spin the tires maybe you will hear it squeak or the center carrier bearing is bad

Thanks for the tips guys!! I've checked all the bearings and can't find any problems. I guess next weekend I'll have try Pizzo's idea and get all 4 wheels off the ground.
I tried running with the jake brake on, the vibration disappeared until I applied the brakes. Are there any issues with the rotors on the 08's? They look alright, but I haven't gone so far as getting them off and turned yet.

Smile Vibration Update

Thanks to those who replyed!!!/Helped!!!!
I have solved my vibration problem. Believe it or not, I torqued the u-bolts on the rear end to 115 ft pds and my vibration has disappeared. The u bolts were at 100 ft pds(10 too low) I don't know why the torque was low but I know my problem. I know they are 5 pds too high now but it worked. I will drive till spring and see what happens. If the problems comes back, I know I need new u bolts, if not, I will replace them next summer anyways.

glad you found that. It would be bad to break while you where driving. My question is did you lift it or anything that the u bolts would have to be loosed up.

I would check them often. to be on the safe side

Default Update!!

No lift, stock suspension all the way around. I have only owned the truck a month, with only 25000 miles and the price I paid, I was ready for some repairs. This was the last and most troubling issue. Probably why the guy sold it so cheap.
Anyways it's fixed and I know what to watch.
I just want to thank the forumn for being here and the members for their time. You all Rock!!!!!
