99 2500 cummins fuel filter canister leaking fuel

Default 99 2500 cummins fuel filter canister leaking fuel

the head of the fuel filter canister is leaking around the heating element and the dealer is the only avenue to get a kit to fix the problem.......$1200.00
any suggetions on a less expensive approach?? any advise or help would be appreciated.

well if you need a new fuel filter housing? change it with a fass or a airdog they are less then that price. www.doghousediesel.com tell him Pizzo sent you for your pricing and he will help you out with what ever you need

got it fixed for now. replaced the o-ring and no leaks yet. http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/98...ilter-tip.html great tip.

Sorry dude the way you typed it out sounded like the housing was cracked or something if that happends the just put a fass or airdog on it but Oring was bad???

yep it was dried out and had cracks in it. we will see how long this lasts.

yeah well every time you change your fuel filter you should change the O-ring also

it was the o-ring on the fuel heating element not the one on the fule filter
