DIY Heater Control Bulb replacement
heater/AC light replacement for 2003-2005 Rams, 2006 & newer MAY be similar.
Lights out on the heater control? Fixing it is a simple bulb replacement and can take as
little as 15 minutes. Pics show that I removed the control unit from the dash, this is
not necessary for a simple bulb replacement. I pulled mine to add a spring behind the mirror
heater switch & ac switch to prevent them from getting stuck.
Mopar P/N 1-05013815AA Bulb's & sockets. Cost about $3 bux ea at the dealer.
1) Remove the center dash from the dash to expose the back of the Heater Controller. There
is at least 1 screw under the hook that sits next to the glove box, there may be another (mine
are long gone) so have a look. To remove the dash gently pull near this hook to release the
clips that hold the dash in place.
2) take a small screwdriver and using the slot in the middle of the socket, rotate about 1/8
turn counter clockwise to remove the bulb.
3) Install new bulbs and replace center dash.
done.
