Default Hard Starting Cold

I have a 2002 Dodge 2500 5.9 Diesel with a Airdog Fuel Pump. My problem is that when my truck sits over night it takes a few times before it starts. After it starts its fine for the rest of the day. My fuel presure is 17psi while cranking. Checked for any leakback, none. Just replaced the VP44 5 months ago. Looking for any ideas..
