Default Replacing Batteries

I have a 2005 Ram 2500 diesel, and I'm trying to replace the batteries. Theres a screw directly in front of each battery, facing the engine... I tried loosening it significantly, but the batteries won't move much.... Something is holding them in. Theres nothing about this in the manual, and I can't find anything on the internet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As said, there is that small plastic block at the bottom front of the battery that is screwed in place to hold it down. If you are turning that bolt and its not coming loose, then the piece on the bottom is likely spinning. You need to get under there and look. You may have to pull the well liners out.

Just went thriugh the same thing. Reach your habd underneath where the bolt is and hold the backing. It will unscrew all the way out. Then you have to pry the wedge next to the battery loose. If you remove just the bolt it wont come loose till you remove the wedge. Good luck Richard
