I have used two stroke oil in place of MMO when I didnt have any, I noticed no difference in mileage or overall driveability.

Could someone explain to me the reasoning for including MMO in the mix? What does it add that the Power Service doesn't already do? I've read a few comments elsewhere that MMO ashes a lot, so it might not be such a great idea for our engines.
Also, I know we're not supposed to switch to synthetic until the engine has had 10-20k miles of breakin. Would all the added lubricity in this brew keep the rings from seating properly?
PS does have added lubrication, owever I did notice that without the MMO my engine ran a bit rougher. and MMO ashing as it burns, this would be the first I have heard about this.
your second question, most of the lubrication in the fuel is burned dureing the combustion cycle, what is left over is in the form of smoke and just goes out the tail pipe.

Has anyone ever compared PSD with Howes Diesel Treat? I have used that for years and it seems that it may be the same product. I saw someone lamenting over having to buy PSD at Wall Mart and the Howes is available at most truck stops and stations with diesel.
I don't mind switching if PSD is better, just wondering if it is or not.
I'm not real sure. . .some people like howes, others like lucas, others like the PSD/MMO mix, if you dont mind being the tester for it you can

I'm new to diesel, so after studying the contents of Drews Brew, I am left wondering if I run Shell's Premium Diesel aren't I getting the same benefits as adding this brew to regular diesel?
See this article about premium diesel having higher cetane number: "Premium diesel has additives to improve CN and lubricity, detergents to clean the fuel injectors and minimize carbon deposits, water dispersants, and other additives depending on geographical and seasonal needs."
