I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota 4.7L, overheated because of a hole in the radiator, blew a head gasket. I replaced both head gaskets, timing chain tensioners, and all 16 lifters, TPS (throttle positioning sensor), MPS, did oil change, ran it for about 500 miles done a motor flush then new oil filter and lucas oil. Problem is the motor runs perfect with no codes, but there is a knocking that I can not figure out. The knocking increases with acceleration. I checked the exhaust gaskets (all good), noise seems to be coming from the center of the motor. Any suggestions?
I drove it today for awhile the idle is alittle rough other then that it runs great. it doesn't burn oil, it just knocking at idle and at acceleration but not at deceleration
