During a recent interview with Automobile Magazine, Chrysler Group and Fiat SpA CEO Sergio Marchionne confirmed that the company is currently (working on) a Dodge Dart SRT4 but the Chief Exec did not offer any details on the high performance variant of the new C segment sedan.
Unsurprisingly, Marchionne admitted that the SRT performance brand is working on developing a Dodge Dart SRT4. It will take the place of the Dodge Caliber SRT4, which was dropped in 2009. The only remaining debate is “how big an engine we stick in it,” Marchionne told AN. SRT president and CEO Ralph Gilles told us in January that his brand would consider developing a high-performance version of every Chrysler product except for minivans.
-- Chrysler is developing an SRT version of the Dart, Marchionne said. "The only thing we're fighting over now is to determine how big an engine we stick in it."
Racing enthusiasts requested a high-performance version of the four-cylinder Dart before the Dart was revealed in January. Chrysler hasn't had a four-cylinder vehicle in its SRT lineup since the Dodge Caliber SRT4 was dropped in 2009.

I'd wager on 275-300 HP and torque 6 spd man FWD for $27,500 and/or 275-300 HP and torque 6 spd man AWD for $30,000.
I'd be partial to the AWD but only because I live in Michigan and it would be handy in the winter. That and they do have 2 charger SRT's and 2 challenger SRT models, so why not 2 Darts.
They could "borrow" the probable AWD/4WD system from the next Jeep Liberty that is also going to be built on the Compact U.S. Wide (CUSW) platform/architecture the Dart is using from the Alfa Romeo Giulietta
