Default Two Button EVIC

Just bought a used 2015 Dart SXT. Many questions, but I'll start with the EVIC.
According to the Owner's Manual, with the two button control, the ^ (up)
button should scroll through: Odometer, Digital Speedometer, Trip, Range to Empty, Average Fuel Economy, Current Fuel Economy, Stored Messages, and Oil Life.
Mine does not show Average Fuel Economy, but does show Current (not really good for much without the Average) It also does NOT show Range to Empty or Stored Messages. I am assuming that the are No Stored Messages but don't understad the other missing data. I have tried the obvious (using the > button, both momentarily and hold) no change.
Is this how it is supposed to be?
Seems a waste to have current MPG and No Average MPG.
