1992 Dodge Daytona

I have a 1992 Dodge Daytona with a 3.0/V6 engine and 3-speed automatic. It is stuck in low gear. At first, thought it was an electrical problem so we have changed all of that and the problem persists. Thinking about changing to a 5-speed manual.....does anyone know which ones are compatible. Or any other suggestions regarding it being stuck in low gear.......THANKS!!!

you dont have a 3speed, 3.0 daytonas w.automatic only came with an od trans. your trans is in limp in and stuck in 2nd gear. you'll need to have it scanned buy a place besides autozone and the key flash code retreival system will not work! that only gives engine codes you could do a 5speed conversion but it's a lot of work. you need to find a rare 543 trans, clutch pedals, shifter, cables, change pcm and redo all the wiring in the engine compartment.
