Anyone know where I can get floor pans for a 1989 Daytona Shelby Turbo? I can see the road thru mine, and while I can certainly weld some sheet metal in there, I'd prefer to do it right, if possible.

Well, I also need to replace my floor panels in my 87 shelby z. It has some bad rust damage on the unibody. Part of the frame is all rotted out they had to lift it on another part of the frame. I dunno if they have any floor plans for any daytonas. However, you can bring it into a body shop and they'll add some sheet metal for about $200-$300.
Welding sheetmetal in is really the only option (you could use fiberglass but that isn't really a good idea). I couldn't find any floorpans for the Daytona.... honestly there isn't much of an aftermarket for the car so that is kind of expected.
A big block of wood/vise (something to form the metal on), a beadroller (something like this http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=41081 ), body hammers and dollies (or just a big hammer), a flanging tool ( http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=41696), a cut off wheel/grinder, and a welder are good tools to have for this job. Those are pretty much all I have used in repairing the floorpans on my 89 Daytona and a 94 Jeep cherokee. I got the sheetmetal as a 4' x 8' sheet from a metal supplier for about $90 and cut it myself using a plasma torch (but a cutoff wheel would work just as well).

~$220 shipped isn't too bad for preformed floorpan (shipping is 15% of the total order cost from them http://www.makeitmopar.com/ ). That would be the way to go if you don't have the tools or fab skills... just cut out the pieces you need, or put the whole thing in.
I find it odd that they only start Daytona's with the 87 model year. I have an 85 Laser (Daytona) and they don't list either of these cars for 84-86. Granted, most of the parts are the same through 91, but still. Why do these companies forget these years?
Most companies don't like producing/selling things for cars 20+ years old, I guess they figure there isn't much of a market. A 20 yr old car can be bought for so little money you can just get another if something goes bad instead of fixing the problem (or something along those lines).
Well, heres my problem. I brought the car into the body shop the other day and they told me it was gonna be around 3, 000 dollars to fix the unibody. So unless i can find another body shop that does it for cheaper, then i'll have to get rid of it.
Well, i am going to UTI, but I won't start for another month. This car is the only car i have and it really isn't safe to drive. I don't have the experence to do body work myself, so u think they could do it for me or help out?
