I was wondering if anyone was running larger tires on there Dodge Journey. I want to replace the wife's car with new tires and want to step up too either 235/55/19 or 245/50/19. Has anyone got experience running the wider tires? Do they rub?

According to the tire calculators I know of, they will not rub. One of them was from Discounttire.com and Discount guarantees their tires, installation and fitment. I do not think they would advertise incorrectly.

I do not have personal experience using anything larger.

I'd be keen to know the outcome here. Looking at it myself as the 225's are just too thin IMHO.

Looking myself it seems there is quite a bit of room for additional width.
