I own a 2014 Dodge Journey SRX, what is the little black box on the windshield behind the rear view mirror?

 

Compass.

 

Have they changed the location of the compass?
In the 2011 it is located in the roof cavity in the cargo area
on the drivers side as they warn you in the manual not to
to place magnetic mount antennas in that location.

 

Oh. Dunno then. Maybe it's a tracking device placed there by the NSA.
