Armored DJ - Gear not shifting when heated, they want USD 4,000 to fix it!
Gentlemen, I am a proud owner of a 09DJ SXT 3.5 V6 ARMORED LEVEL NIJ IIIA.
In the mornings, when I go to work, shift is working well, no issues at all. However, when the engine is warm, the shift locks in the 3rd and does not change anymore. When I put in 'N' and back to 'D' there is a small 'bump'.
* Sometimes, when I pull out in a gas station or something, turn off and turn on the engine again, it starts shifting normally.
I asked my mechanic to check the transmission heat sink, changed the transmission oil and filter, with no positive results.
Now the three transmission repair centers I went, they all asked USD 4,000 to fix the problem....
Anybody? (any constructive comment is appreciated!)
