HELP! Journey 2.0 CRD RT stalling at high RPM
Hi. I have just purchased a Journey 2.0 CRD RT automatic. I have the following problem.
When I start the car from cold, and put it into D or R it will try to move but stall. This will go away if I let the engine heat (even for 2-3 minutes).
Also, when I put my foot down (out of gear) the rpm inceases and just as its about to redline, the engine will seem to stall, the rpm suddenly drops, then the rpm rises back up to high rpm, then the problem repeats This happens when driving too, if I'm in D and I floor it the trans will not shift and the car will reach high rpm and seem to stall, drop rpm, and then repeat. If I drive casually it drives and shifts fine.
I seen someone have similar problem and he said it was a dirty fuel pump (low pressure pump), I cleaned this and put back in but I have no way to test the pump (a continuity test on the pump showed OK) but it didn't help.
The car was serviced (timing belt, fuel filter, oil change) 10k miles ago.
Has anyone suffered a similar problem? What ahould i be looking for? Any help is much appreciated.
