Default 2007 Magnum Rear Wiper Arm

After 3 years, it was time to change all 3 wiper blades. Two front ones were easy.

I couldn't get the rear wiper blade frame detached from the arm. Unfortunately, the connection on the arm broke.

OK, so I got a new blade installed on the old frame which wasn't damaged.

My problem is getting the old arm off the car. To remove the wiper arm. I removed the plastic cover that covers the nut (that broke too, was not having a good day).

I got the steel nut easily removed, but I cannot get the arm to come off the pivot.

I've tried pentrating fluid, I've tried using channel lock pliers and a rubber mallet (gently) and it just won't come off.

Has anyone else had this problem? Were you successful in removing the arm?

Thank you,
Gord from Ajax, Ontario

The broken rear wiper arm has been successfully removed, by the Dealer.

It took 3 different Mechanics, using 3 different wiper removal tools to get it off.

It took them one hour.

When I put the new arm on tomorrow, I will be using anti-seize compound to prevent this from happening again.

Be VERY careful removing the rear wiper blade when yiou have to replace it.

Grab onto it and GENTLY pull it to the right (towards passenger side of car).

It will come off. Just don't break the wiper arm where the blade snaps on.
