2005 Dodge Magnum won't start
HELP!!!!!!!!!
I have a 2005 Dodge Magnum. Sometimes it will start and sometimes it won't start. With a recommendation, I replaced the starter. The problem still exists. The battery is good and the alternator is good. I had a battery shop did a electrical check on it and he said everything checks out.
Does anyone know what the problem could be? Is this a easy fix?
Please help. I don't want to get ripped off by a dealership again.
Thank you

Sorry I was so vague in my description of the problem. When I say the car won't start...I meant it won't crank. One day the car will crank over and start...another day the car won't crank over at all. As far as the starter being replaced...a technician said the starter was bad so the shop replaced the starter. That is why I said I didn't want to get ripped off by a shop again. TNtech...I noticed that you are a Master Technician so if anyone can help me with this problem, it would be you. I hope this helps you to solve my problem. Thank you

The above is the fuse/relay box under the hood. It is for 2005, 2006 and 2007.
Replace the starter relay as per the picture. Dealer sells them for 17 bucks I think. OR, swap it with the HORN relay. I do a ton of these.
There is also the possibility that the ignition lock cylinder housing has a crack in it where it moves the ignition switch. I do a bunch of those too.

Thank you for the extra information. It is good to know where I can go to get help. As far as my car starting problem goes...I was able to solve the problem by replacing the fob battery. I had the fob battery checked, and it was out of power. Apparently, the fob battery needs to have a charge to start the car. Thank you again for your help.

You're not hijacking. We're all here to learn.
You'll notice even though the alarm is set off, you can out the key in the switch and the WCM will override, as it is seeing a valid key transponder. The FOB portion of the key is for remote keyless entry, and obviously disarming the alarm remotely, IF it is set. That key also has an independent transponder that the SKIM, WIN or WCM reads to allow the engine to start. They are 2 separate things.
You can take the battery out and still start the car, if you want a demo.

I also would assume the fob has nothing to do with starting the car. So why after I replaced the starter, jump start the car, but when I replace a dead fob battery the car starts every time now?
