Suspension upgrades for towing: Nivomats, airbags or both..?
Hello,
My '05 Magnum R/T's rear sags down whenever I tow even the lightest of trailers.
As far as I can see, the main options to address this are:
- switching the rear dampers (aka 'shocks') from stock R/T to Nivomats
- switching the rear coil springs from stock to wider ones that can then encompass inflatable air bags
- possibly both, cost permitting..?
If anyone can offer any advice on this, like:
- which coil springs are wide enough to be able to have air bags fitted inside, and where best to source them
- which air bag kits work best with such wider coil springs, and where to source them too
- how simple & effective changing the dampers from stock R/T to Nivomats is
- if both are required to effectively facilitate towing with a Magnum
I'd be very appreciative.
Thank you,
D
