car won't start anymore !!
well, that car starts to drive me nuts.
Installed K&N Filter and JET stage 1 chip and had like written in instruction disconnected the battery whilst doing all that. Put everything back together, reconnected battery and now car won't start anymore. It seems to be in some sort of theft mode and I can't get it out of there. Took the JET module out but same thing. Argghhh!
I could not find anything in the manual regarding that, is there a trick or something or is suddenly my PCM fried ?
What happens is that car unlocks the ddor like always, I can turn key into ON position, still everything OK but in start position nothing happens. I hear a relay klicking but that's it. When key is left in ON position after about 15 seconds it switches evyerthing off..

soo, during my vacation the Chrysler plant specialist have brought light into this issue and car runs again.
If anyone tells you that a JET chip can not destroy a ECM, rest assured it can and it can do it very nicely. What happens is that as soon as you plugged in the JET module the 5 Amp fuse in the rear fuse box blows killing the main CAN bus. Since the Chrysler dealer could not even log into the ECM via the OBD2 connector and since absolutely all nodes on the main CAN bus (ABS controller, SSR module plus ECM could not bee seen aynmore) they had to call in computer specialists from the Chrysler plant in town (where they build the 300C's, Jeep GC'S and Commander) as these guys have a lot more possibilities to connect and troubleshoot such problems. These guys have tried it two times with factory ECM and same case, you plug it in, fuse blows and the starter circuit on the ECM blows up. Funnily, all Chrysler test bench routines and tests the ECM would pass, so this is not SOftware related it is purely Hardware related. Apparently something is pinned wrong in the module and it creates a short on the Main CAN bus. Proven, tried and certified. Does it help me in getting at least the module refunded from JET, apparently not according to the guys at JET I have talked to.
About 600 bucks in labour cost and cost for a new ECM, another 700 bucks) the car finally runs again, thanks to JET and their competent customer support which repeatedly told that their module can not do such a thing, will not harm anything and this must be an isolated case where we (means Chrysler Europe) tampered with the module in order to create a case. Are they freakin' nuts or what?
Let's call this a 1300 Dollar write off not counting the cost for the JET module.
Will I ever go near anything from JET, obviously not. It sucks to have something like that happen on a new car.

Tahnks for the heads up, I wont be purchasing anything from JET now either. If they at least said, we will refund u, fine. Not great customer relations at all.
Although with all the good things being said about the Superchips, thats the way I thinkI would go anyways.

that is the first i heard of that. i had a bad jetchip, but my car ran. the only problem was the engine light was on. i sent it back and they gave me another one.
if the jet chip fried my computer, i would have removed it and never tell the dealer about it and get it fixed under warranty. tell jetchip about it and let them test the chip to see what went wrong.

that doesn't work. Simply, because there are no Magnums officially in Europe and when you import one by yourself Dodge's warranty expires as soon as car hits the boat.
Ergo, a brand new Car will have no warranty as it is considered a "grey import", Dodge USA will not transfer warranty title and Chrysler Europe will not accept warranty either.
one of the drawbacks if you like a car not many have. Well, I could have bought a 300C but what's the point?
