the restoration of a 1967r/t dodge coronet convertable is probably the hardest thing in the world to do. the car is so damn scarce and that means going to every junk yard, calling private owners for spare parts for sale, classifieds, using parts from other cars of the sam year and even rumaging old wrecks out in the desert. im from south cali and it is not the easiest task to perform, yet i am now finished with the car and all i need to do know is paint it. the hardest part i found when restoring this beast wasto find the stinking convertable rear side windows, because the car was totally limited edition, and only 900 were produced. so a lot of cash was definately a must. besides, its totally a rare car to own, and no one has one!

But you don't want to have to purchase a '72 grille. They'll eat you alive. Watched one go for over $1000, and now a buddy I know has one selling in pieces and will get over $1200 if he sells them all. And by the looks of it, he will.

You ain't kidding! The Roadrunner bird head that goes in the center of my grill costs $150-$175 for an original. The guy I bought the car off of was showing the car to someone else and they stole the original head. Since I will NEVER part with the car, I saved my money and got one(remake) from Year One for $35.
