Not that I am selling them at the moment, but I have 3 440 Interceptors still in the 1972 Police cars that they were originally installed. What do I have here and what are they worth? The Tranny is a 720 or something like that. 2 of the 3 move freely and 1 appears to be seized. Email me at Deerjrky@yahoo.com

The tranny's are 727's or more exactly they are A727B torqueflites. If the 440's are in good running condition you can get a pretty decent amount for them, but if they are in unknown condition it's hard to say. I bought a basket case 440 with everything including an extra set of heads and an extra crank for $50.
To bad there not reverse rotation engines if they were I would be interested.
I'm looking for a 390 ford and a 440 wedge, 392 or 426 hemi all need to be reverse rotation though.

Ok. I've known of there being reverse rotation versions, but I forgot what they were used for and why they were that way.
some of the dirt track boys like to run reverse rotation also when they can get way with it, it helps in a drift turn.
I got away with it for almost a whole season before they figured out why I was kicking their asses in the turns. (a tech finaly figured out what was funny looking about my fan)
