Dodge NeonThe sport compact car that took the world by storm. the Dodge Neon. Depending on the trim level you get, this sporty ride has something to offer everyone.
Good Evening Everyone. My girl bought a 2000 neon with a 3.0. When driving it is fine. Any time that she lets off the gas, the oil idiot light comes on. It also comes on at idle. It looks like the car is loosing oil pressure, but there are no other bad signs. My guess is a bad oil pressure switch. Can someone tell me where to find it? Thanks in advance. Bob

First of all it either has a four cylinder 2.0 or a 2.4if it's an SRT-4. not a 3.0 if it's a neon. My neon is the first gen but i think it's the same. My oil pressure sending unit is on the back of the block. Best bet is to jack it up, get under it and look in the center of the back of the block. You will prob need an extension to get it off. You should also check the oil level if you haven't already. And maybe it's just time for an oil and filter change.
