310,000 miles and still going and going....
This car has been such a blessing. I keep her maintained with regular oil changes and tune ups, which I think is vital for any car. I have had to change the motor mounts and shocks and struts a couple times. I am convinced this is because of California highways though. I have been all over the U.S. and parts of Canada and Mexico. The highways in Ca. are so pitted with pot holes and other destructive obstructions sometimes I think I am driving in a third world country! My only other complaint is that there are so few Neons even close to the '03 I own, in the junk yard. When I do need a part I have to buy it new. I think Dodge did a great job with the Neon!. I love the body style. Some day it's gonna be a poor mans classic. I would liked to have had a bit more power. Although, I can go almost 300 miles on $20 so i 'm kool with that big time. I guess I'm a dork but I could go on and on about my "girl". It is a comfort to know that whenever I get in her she starts and gets me where I am going safely and in style. LOVE MY CAR! I just know I will see her roll over on 400,000 miles!

Running well with 185K miles
My '98 Expresso Coupe (5sp/DOHC) is just shy of 186,000 miles. Head gasket replaced before I bought it at 93K miles. 5 years of autocrossing, sverla drap strip runs and four weekends at Summit Point Motorsport Park.
Sill running fine except A/C o-rings leak bit time!
Not looking forward to my first timing belt change in about 10K miles.
Passes MD VIEP with orignal cat

1996 Neon
Probably have everyone beat, 640,000 an just blew the timing belt at 85 mph. Decided since the car has cost me very little money and has been a great car (not much to look at) but a great commuter car I would rebuild. Pulled head, valves not bad but will do a valve job. Pulled pistons, no wear in the cylinders, bearings look good. Will replace rings, bearings, hone cylinders, valve job and gaskets, put back on road so I can hit one million miles. Would like to put a little bigger cam in for more air, anyone have any ideas?
