1999 Dodge Neon surges with air on...
Question about 1999 Neon. Air is charged appropriately and running well. It seems that sometimes, with the air on, when shifting gears, (manual transmission) the engine will go up 500-800 rpm between shifts. Is there a reason for that? Is that normal with the small engines? Is there a sending unit somewhere that needs checking? I'm not sure if it does the same thing with the air off....it's swealtering down here and I haven't had it off. Thanks in advance for your input. As you can see, I'm not an expert mechanic.
