Default power loss?

runnin 93 ctd auto w/ 335k on it

past few weeks when I get on the pedal, the trans refuses to kcick down to passing. it even wants to slip when its cold and you first throw it in drive. you hit the gas to go and it revs. then it will engage drive.

thinkin its clogged filter or needed adjustment.

what yall think?

shift to nueteral first for about 60 seconds before you put it drive and tell me if you still have the delay going into gear.

seems to do it more when its not at full operating temp. even if the engine is the trans still isnt for about 5 miles.

do a stall test. stand on the breaks with it in gear and rev the engine full throttle and see what the rpms stop at. anything less than about 1800 is the engine. anything above about 2200 is the trans.
