Time to resurrect an old thread............
I just purchased a 2006 Ram 2500 5.9 Diesel. It has a remote start unit w/ the Dodge Logo on it. The hand held device only has 1 button.
Question…..
How should this operate ? Should I push the button Once or Twice?
I can get the truck to start---but it wont stay running…..
It starts - runs for 2 seconds - then shuts off. It will do this 3 times and stops.
What's the correct procedure for using the Factory installed Dodge remote start system?
And yes….there is a built in delay of like 20 seconds

U need to install an alarm bypass. Ur key has a chip or resistor in it 4 security reasons. The remote start is starting the truck but the security is shutting it off because of the "no key in ignition"
