Default those "truck" commercials

I'm gettin tired of those commercials about all those 1/2 ton trucks being so tuff. They may be good if you haul something once in a while but if you are gonna be hauling alot, that truck will give out sometime soon. Its not heavy duty unless it has at least 8 lugs, that what I think and it also has to have a Cummins under the hood. What do you all think.

and all they make are half ton trucks (toyota, nissan, etc.) pry most half ton trucks handle the same but when you need to haul over 5 tons, you surley cant do that with a half ton

The thing is that most people don't really know better. The average joe walking into a dealership really has no friggin clue what he's looking at and will fall for all the crap that he heard on TV.

I agree with ya USA, they see these trucks on commercials and think they are indestructable, So they go out and buy a brand new one to find out later that there is REAL heavy duty pickups that actually can do this stuff they see on tv.
I remember seein a commercial where they dropped a load of metal culverts in the back of a F150. Now, Cmon . I wanna see thise live!!!
Cause Ive seen F150's sacked out with camping gear. Its all a bunch of hype.

1/2 ton = station wagon w/bed in my opinion

A 1/2 ton is good for a grocery getter but my Z71 couldn't even haul my job boxes. I would like to see them pull my travel trailer.

like the one when they load a ton in the bed on the half ton, it barley goes done and my 3/4 ton has overloads on it and it goes down like half a foot with a ton in the bed, even if they can hold the weight, they can problem barley even dirve, my truck loaded or not, not much dference in driving

Oh, but everybody's new truck is the MOST CAPABLE -- whatever the (#%*@ that means. I'm so sick of hearing that in commercials. Or, the best one yet, "Tundra. . . . the truck that is changing it all." What needed changing? Why does it look just like the retarded baby of a Ram and a VW bug??

Oh, and not to step on ya'lls big toes, but, none of us drive true "trucks". You know there are real truckers out there laughing at us "four wheelers" who think we drive big time "trucks" with "big" engines. And yes, I drive a half ton and haul 3 tons of bs in it all the time. What we all drive are called PICKUPs.

Just seen the new Toyota commerical where all the 1/2 tons from all the manufactures are racing then they have to brake and the Tundra stops on the checkered line.
What a bunch of crap .
U don't know which truck has bigger brake kits based on packages or which have bigger motors or higher or lower gears.
It's all complete bull u know these commericals are just made to favor the manufacturer of the sponsor.
I pitty the guys who believe some of the thing the auto companies are saying.
