If I have a gear box that last long enough, I'll try this. Although my truck doesn't have a cooler for the PS fuild.

Thanks Steve, I never knew the PS had a cooler. Learn something new every day. I will have to go look and see if I got one. Thanks again..................

Hey Bob, maybe now is the time to add one then...?? I've never had one to compare against until now so I wont know for another 100k or so whether it's going to help the steering box over the long term.

that should be easy enough to do... tap into the inlet side of the cooler and mount a temporary gauge there... not sure what good it'll do yabut at least you can determine how hot it's getting... I guess if it's getting real hot, a bigger cooler may be in order. with the fluid also supplying brake assist it might be worth it to cool it better.

hell yeah, that would be perfect. Derale makes a tranny cooler with a reversable fan, I'm planning on slapping that in between the fuel pump & filter assembly to cool the fuel down before it goes into the filter. Not quite sure how it's going to fit yet but it's on the list of things to do...

I know there's plenty of room on the 2nd gens. On the new international maxxforce 7 (6.4l before ford touches it) they have a fuel cooler infront of the rad, makes for a lot of lines on that thing.
