Default welding truck

hey all, i just thought i'd post some pics i took of a bad *** welding truck that showed up on my location yesterday. the guy, being a welder, of course built the rear end from scratch. the compartments are built into the "bed" and everything up top is flushed in. it had to have taken forever! looks real clean though!

I can tell it's in Texas, because of the Dr. Pepper bottle. (Texan's love their Dr. Pepper.) Great looking rig.

BTW, what's with the wooden pallet for a tailgate?

Looks real clean and functional. I'm with you it had to take some time. But it is missing the BBQ from the first one that we saw. As far as your co-workers truck. I am assuming that he didn't think the 6" superlift was enough then add the body? I don't like body lifts but his truck looks good. Thanks for the pics.

Aero don't forget your pics when you go home for christmas

yep, snow in texas, we got about 3.5 inches day after thanksgiving. the wooden tailgate i think he had to make out on a location to keep some extra stuff in place on these bumpy roads and just kept it for now because its so light and easy to lift over the equipmet in back. the body lift was so he could clear 38s. and they still rub a tiny bit at full lock! as for dr. pepper, i don't think they would survive if it werent for texas!!

That wooden pallet is a mud board, you lay on it when welding underneath the pipe,so you dont get dirty or muddy.

I'll try not to, She ain't the pertyest thing in the world but she gets the job done

Ol Ferd witha 460 in it, always a good Idea to take a can of either with ya when your gonna start it on a cold day, which would be less that o say 60...lol

I have to use a front end loader to lift the back to change the tires and brakes cause its not the lightest thing in the world...that or use several jacks and jimmy it up that away...
