Default alright ill ask again

haha alright ill ask again since my last post was a *** whoopin about my freakin signature pic to large, haha...here we go

so what do you experts think i should do for a cheap mod to my wastegate ? its an automatic tranny so it has the steel line from the compressor side housing to the wastegate, what do you think if i drill out the tube ? or maybe cut out a section? that was i can get a tiny hose and clamps and cover it back up if i have any problems...or crimp it off screw it! haha. eventually this is gonna be a project where it sits in the garage without the motor in it and its gonna be built by me, but untill then this is all just an idea.

you could always trim the hose down, run some threads into the compressor houseing and install the boost elbow to get higher boost numbers.

Edge used to make a little brass plug to plug off the metal line (not sure if they still make it) call edge and see if they still make it. That is what I have in my turbo. I'll try to get a decent pic of the brass plug tommarow for ya.

alright thanks jake but with the programmer i got a 90 brass elbow plug, with a tiny hole in it, but i didnt think that would work for the automatic trannys because they have the steel line...and why the hell does the tranny have to do with the type of line to the wastegate? do you know ? probly so us dick heads can mod the thing right ? hhaha

I've seen stock turbos run 45 psi before. Granted that is way out of the efficency of the turbo. I'm not sure why they have different setups on the wastegates (could be that manuals were rated higher and turbos were matched to the pump)

It's a part of the wastegate head. Cant be removed from the wastegate. But you can pull it out of the compressor housing, plug it off then put it back into the housing.
