Default headlights and defroster issues

I have an 01 2500. Best truck I have ever owned but I am having some issues with the headlights and the defroster. Does anyone have a difinitive solution to the dim headlight situation. I drive a lot at night for work and need a brighter solution. I have looked into HID and upgrading the stock lights. My headlights are the single light with dual filament bulbs. Can I upgrade to a dual headlight system as it would be nice to have the low and high beams on at the same time instead of a dual filament lighting only.

On the defroster, I am getting a fog on the interior window that is annoying. I understand the A/C works during defroster operation. I may have a bad compressor. Do I need to replace the compressor and the condersor? How do you tell if the condensor is bad. Cooling system is flushed anually and doesnt seem to have an issue with a leaking heater core.

Thanks for your comments.
