Default No turbo boost

I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 3500 with a 5.9l 24 valve Cummins turbo.
My problem is I have lost all turbo boost. I have removed the duct between the air cleaner and turbo and it is free spinning and no looseness in any direction. Could it be the waste gate or I have heard there is a chip that could be bad as well. Anyone had this problem? Or have any suggestions.
Thanks

No boost at all? When it runs can you hear abnormal noise? Sounds like maybe one of your inlet hoses has popped off. Check the hoses on both ends of your intercooler.

are you sure you have no boost? do you have boost gauges? or are you just guessing?

does the truck smoke like a coal fired locomotive?

There is no noise, and no black smoke, and no I do not have boost gauges BUT,,this thing used to pin you in the seat on hard acceleration and kept you there until you let off. Now there is no acceleration boost at all. It acts like there is no turbo on the engine.

if that were so, there would be lots of black smoke coming out the tailpipe...

sounds like your truck is in limp mode..

CEL on? Any codes in memory? Get a fuel pressure gauge on it yesterday and see if you're getting enough fuel.

your lift pump is most likely the cause, STOP DRIVING IT UNTILL YOU CAN CONFIRM FUEL PRESSURE!!!!, with no lift pump i have seen the injection pump fail in as little as a mile and that is expensive!!! and is very common with vp44 engines

I just went through this on my 2000 ram the guy that owned it before me replaced the lift pump, injectors, injector pump, turbo. I hooked a gauge to the turbo and had a buddy brake torque it. I had 3 psi. I hooked my snapon scanner to it and the boost pressure sensor showed 0 psi. I replaced it and the truck came back to life!! 10-15 minutes to test it and scan gotta be cheaper than throwing parts at it. Just a thought. Also I had no CEL.

Dragracin78...Thanks for the info. What was it you replaced? The boost pressure sensor?
My truck runs fine except for the boost and I am getting no CEL so maybe I have the same problem you had. I don`t have a code reader but am placing an order for one in a week or so.
