I was reading something about there being a year where one cant adjust or modify the DEF setup. I was wondering what is the last year I can get before its un-modifiable...

 

Why? Apparently they finally got it figured out with the DEF.

 

Yes why, I have several friends that didn't want to get DEF equiped, and they ended up getting new 2016 Rams with IL-^ CTD and say that the DEF eversion runs better that their 2nd and 3rd Gen Models.

 

2007 was first year of 6.7, but do not believe you needed DEF yet. Not for sure though.

 

2013 first year of DEF, unless it is a cab and chassis 2007.5 to 2010 6.7 lots of issues. 2010 first year 6.7 h.o. I have a 2012. Yes it has the deletes. The 2013 and up with DEF, are good. Fuel mileage back up. I have not heard of issues.

 

2013 is first def year. Deletes are available and proven for 2013-2015 Ram CTDs...

 

SO what I am reading is I ca get any year & model diesel and be able to delete the setup. While not hurting performance or mpg's. I am not one for spending $ on a useless processes of additional liquid needed to clean the system or so the gov can make a few more billion i guess.
