Pictures of Front Wheel Bearing Packing
The following pictures are removal of the front wheel bearings for repacking on a 2005 Dodge 3500,4x4, Quad Cab.
First let me say that repacking the front wheel bearings was not my reason for disassembling the bearing and hub. After reading forums on the TDR web site my main goal was to dissassemble the front end components and apply never sieze now, to make it easier to change bearings when required. I have read how hard it is to get the front assembly apart, once the parts have rusted together. To be completely honest I am glad that I did. I used an impact wrench, penetrating oil and heat to break the rear wheel hub bolts free. Could someone explain how to shrink my picture files to be able to post them here for everyone to see.
