Differences 04 vs 05/06 Bigger brakes 05/06 4.10gears 04 4.56 in 05/06 Knock sensor in 05/06 RC in 04, RC andf QC in 05/06 (yes, only auto in QC) Badge differences every year. Dodge on 04 tailgate vs Ram head in 05/06. New SRT badge in 06. New front end 06 of course New interior in 06 (I like the old style but that is opinion) Common issues Weak clutch system. Can be upgraded for about $1500 in parts. Factory clutch has a 1/12 warranty. Door seals on 04 and 05 just like the other Rams. Crank pully bolts work loose. Check them at oil change time, 120 ft/lb. BAD brake dust, $100 for aftermarket pads fixes this. Personally I would try to get an 05, but if you came upon an 04 for the right price or circumstances, like I did with Bobby Hamilton's truck, then go for it.

Im really glad you posted the differences in the 04 and 05/06 models. I want one but i have to sell the 2 trucks i have now before i sign the papers.
