Default B2500 Van tranny P1757 & P1762 codes

I have a 2001 Ram B2500 van which is getting trouble codes P1757 and P1762. Before reading the codes, I checked the fluid and it looks fine but is high by approx. 1/2" on the dipstick (engine & tranny warm and idling on level ground). The descriptions (P1757: "GOV pressure not = target at 15-20 PSI" and P1762: "GOV pressure sensor offset volts too low or high") don't tell *me* anything. What do these codes indicate and could they be caused by the fluid overfill?

Default RE: B2500 Van tranny P1757 & P1762 codes

seems straight forward. The computer isnt getting a valid reading from the sensor. It may have nothingto do with the over fill. As the tranny is full though, that can cause low pressure since the pump needs to work less hard to circulate the fluid. would it cause the errors to be thrown? that I dont know. there is an easy fix for too much fluid... crack the pan and drain some out into an approved container. how did it get over filled in the first place?
