Even after the oil leaks down, the level should NEVER be over the full mark on the dipstick. Any level higher than the full mark with the engine off for at least 5 minutes and you have a pretty good chance of blue smoke coming out the exhaust. You also run the risk of cracking pistons.

You're screwed if you keep it that full. The oil should be checked with the engine off and having sat for a good 5 minutes. Pull the dipstick out, wipe it clean, reinsert it, pull it out again and note the oil level on the dipstick. The level should be between add and full. When the level is down to add, one quart will bring it up to full.

good question... i only bought it about 3 days ago... i'll empty some out tomorrow, today is y day off.... hopelully it didn't frig anything major up
