Default Gasket maker please help

Can i use this for differential cover gasket, i will use fel-pro gasket+this hi-tepm red sealant.Please some opinions on should I use this i have 2 tubes in my garage i wanted to use them for something .rather then just throw them away http://www.accumetricinc.com/boss/PDF/376.pdf

First off if they've been laying around for a while are they past the expiration date? If so, you need to toss them out anyway.

That aside, I didn't see anywhere in that PDF file where it says this stuff is oil resistant. If it's not, the differential fluid will break down the sealant and cause leaking.

why not give the sealer a go. i got some rtv ultra black in a caulk tube thats at least a year old. i just used it for a valve cover gasket on a 2.5 and it was fine just make sure everything is super clean i use carb cleaner to get the surfaces nice and oil free so stuff sticks

Alloro I think you right I dont see anywhere where is says it's oil resistant, so I guess i will hit Walmart or Auto Zone get a new tube just to be sure thanks for your info

if ur talking rtv red silicone gasket maker high temp comes in 3oz tube and red in color? it work great for sealing oils like onvalve covers, oil pans, tans pan, diff cover ect.

if i had this stuff laying around, id give it a shot whats the worst that could happen? it leaks oh well the biggest discoveries were accomplished thru many failues.

Right, it leaks and you blow your rear end. All to save a $5 tube of RTV? No thanks.
