Don't worry about scratches, Deep grooves are another matter. That being said, I have put new pads on grooved rotors. It just takes a while for them to break in and really start working as they should.

When I discovered my wheel bearings and races were shot, I bought new rotors, bearings, and pads. The brakes felt the same. Anemic.

What you should do, to do it exactly right, what a shop could not be sued for, is not necessarily absolutely necessary.

But sign this waiver......

At the risk of getting my butt kicked by landyacht318 for contradicting him...I'm a firm believer in turning drums and rotors whenever the pads or shoes are replaced.

I did click on one, but it put it at the front of the message, so I erased it lest someone think I was a little fruity.

I have to chuckle a little at this, I'm generally a non confrontational person, But I was just out surfing on one of my wooden longboards, and this one large guy who wasn't very experienced, kept getting in the way. So on this one wave, I got going at a really good clip, and the neophyte was right in my path once again. And this big bearded guy let out a super loud, high pitched scream like a little girl when he seen 260 lbs of wood board and rider coming at him at 20 MPH.

I avoided him, but fell off laughing right after. To see your icon hiding behind the couch brought it all back.

Thanks for a good chuckle.

The icon gets inserted wherever your cursor is.
We don't need a misplaced icon to think that way about you.
