Default Front Coil Spring Replacement

I'm having a hard time finding new coil springs for my 96 B1500 5.2. Wondering if someone knows a place that would have them. Thanks in advance

Have you try the dealer?

Who wants to pay dealer prices? Do you know what years are interchangeable?

I see that while rockauto lists new coil springs for the '96 2500, they do not for the 1500.

Perhaps it is just an oversite, and they use the same parts. maybee someone knows for sure. I certainly wouldn't goto the dealer.

I'd check summit and the MOOG websites

Don't get me wrong, I hate paying the dealer price like everyone else. I hate it when a part me or my customers need is a 'dealer only item'. My mothers car (94 Plymouth Sundance) needed a new horn relay, same one my van uses and it is a dealer only item, could not find it anywhere else. Oh and the gas tank filler tube grommets, a friend of mine needed one yesterday for his 86 Chrysler New Yorker, and two vans I have put fuel pumps in, only place to get them is the dealer. How can vehicles that are between 13 and 24 years old can still have parts like that you can only get at a dealership?

If a 1500 is a half ton, is the only difference in the springs the amount of weight they are designed to carry? From his previous posts I don't think he would be bothered by springs for a 3/4 ton van, it's just, will they fit?

I believe they will interchange. They might be stiffer than the 1/2 ton but not by much if so. Boy I wish I had a OEM parts manual.

I was thinking the same thing (3/4 springs). I put leafs in the rear from a 2500. In the front though, I was worried about it messing with my ride height and offsetting my alignment and ride quality. I did find b1500 springs for 95 on rock auto. That's why I was asking what years are interchangeable.
