I am definitely thinking that the OP got a 1 year and not a Lifetime Warranty.

Amazes me that the newer more complicated computers are sold for less than the older less complicated computers. And I am referring only to the OBD-II computers in this case.

It could be a supply and demand issue that's setting the price.
