Default electrical issue

83 dodge ram 3/4 ton. Replaced headlight switch, when turn on to running lights they come on before first click. After that head lights come on no running lights. Blinkers work, back up lights work, running lights and head lights wont work together, anyone know what may cause this?

Sounds like a ground issue. Did this happen before you replaced the switch? If not then the switch may be at fault otherwise check the grounds behind each headlamp assembly. Not sure of exact location but somewhere near each headlamp.

Sounds like you either were handed a bad switch or the wrong one.

Default 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 conversion Van

My van will not start. I accessed the engine compartment and sprayed starter fluid into the carb. It still won't start. I think it may be an electrical issue with the electronic ignition or some other brain box. Does anyone have any idea what the problem may be? And how do I check it to fix it?
