Default Temperature question

I have a 2000 ram 1500 with a V-6. What temperature should I be running with AC on and a 90 degree F day. My temperature gauge appears to read warm, I would guess reads 240 degrees F. New thermostat is 2 years old. New water pump is 3 years old. Late last summer the radiator started leaking so I put in some stopleak. Is the radiator causing my overheating problem? I want to replace my radiator but I want to make sure my problem is fixed.
Thanks
Rambuddy

That's a bit too high for my comfort zone. It sounds to me like it's time for a new radiator.

that is what I was thinking. But I just want to be sure before I pick one up that the radiator is the problem. Could the fan clutch cause problems while driving at highway speeds.
Thanks

also you are cooking your transmission at temps over 220...

240 will kill your tranny - dead

First you need to determine what the temperature actually is.
The electronic gage system may not be accurate.
Check the rad temp [top rad hose] with an IR gage or some other known to be accurate. instrument before you add any parts.
BUT the last time I used stop-leak it stopped up flues in the radiator.
