Default '84 Ram Van 250, transmission problem.

I got a '84 Dodge Ram Van 250 with 318 and A904 A/T Tranny.

On a cold start, The transmission works fine and shifts through all gears (R-3) without a hiccup, after about 5 minutes of driving or 3-5 miles, the transmission goes out completely, nothing works as in Reverse and Drive don't work, engine revving but the van doesn't move.

I'm trying to determine what would cause this? Torque convertor? leak in the valve body?

Fluid is red and I changed it recently but it had no effect.

What should I start looking for?

Bro - I am no tranny expert But, it could be as the transmission warms up the bypass valve opens allowing fluid to go to the radiator to be cooled. There could be an issue with that valve. Also, you could have an electrical solenoid issue. When operation is hindered when heat is introduced, you usually have an electrical issue...

These are my best guesses. I have a good transmission guy here I trust for things like this
