Another thing --- Airbag light - help please
#11
The airbag light comes on and off while driving. The incidents only happen ever 3-5 start cycles. So some days it is fine and then one day it comes on and off 10+ times.
I had it scanned and it said "passenger seat belt short to ground". So I went to the boneyard and replaced the seat belt. After 3 or 4 starts later, it came on while driving again.
Is the connector under the seat prone to failure? You would think if the connector was flakey it would do it more than it does. I have even shook and pulled on the connector and it doesn't come on.
Really strange alloro....I am stumped

Grrrrr- yea I know that is what I probably will have to do...
I did get it to act strange today...
I took the fuses out...got the light (and I should)
I swapped the two 20s Amp around --- turned on -- got the airbag light immediately (werid)
then swapped the 20s back to their ordinal location, no light...
Then on the way home, I got the light twice...probably with the same error (I wont be able to scan it again till Monday)
I am thinking either
1. chaffed wiring under the seat...which I doubt because the wiring is wound in nylon tape. It is rather strong and impenetrable. But, it could be...
or
2. the airbag module is actually bad...the error I am getting is actually because of a bad diode/trace/board inside the module...
its gotta be one or the other...I would think...but it really could be anything I may need to break down and go to the dealer
if anyone knows a master tech @ Dodge, if you could ask them...I will get ya a nice Christmas present if the answer is right

What I am getting at here is that perhaps the weight or lack of weight in the front passenger seat is a contributing factor.
